More turmoil is coming out of city hall on the budget and insurance coverage for city employees. Seems that there is a possibility of leak within our government, information about certain things are getting released by someone close to this matter. This has all been started by a facebook post by Clarissa Slater. How did this information that hasn’t been made public yet, land in this person’s hands? Is this why Kevin Myers on last Thursday’s night Finance Committee stated that the budget is not done yet and it was never talked about from the agenda. There have been many meetings happening within city hall about this issue since this post. Who are all the people involved in this issue?
Did the city union’s play a major role in this matter? Is someone blaming the mayor for this issue? Could this be a strategic plan by some members of council to get the mayor out of office? Why? Not all the facts and information on this issue have been released. I hope an investigation will be conducted into this, and the responsible parties are held accountable for their actions.
The S show continues within the Bucyrus City Council. Nothing is getting accomplished, but they spend more time on other less important ones. What I believe that this council should be addressing is; the budget, ways to improve collecting taxes, the failed tax levy, expenditures of the city, finding ways to improve the city, creating jobs, and housing. Without this, this city is heading in the wrong direction. Stay tuned for more information about this and other issues that are starting to come out.
