BUCYRUS/GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—This weekend, Crawford County is the place to be for Halloween enthusiasts, with three thrilling events planned: the Linda Friend Memorial Spooktacular 2024, Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street at Bucyrus Little Theatre, and Adult Trick or Treat at Brownella Cottage.
The Linda Friend Memorial Spooktacular 2024 is set to take place on Saturday, at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. From 3 PM to 6 PM, families can enjoy games, activities, hayrides, and a bike raffle. Sponsored by AFSCME #1728, American Legion Post #181, and North Central Ohio Media Group, this event honors Linda Friend, a dedicated city employee.
For theatre lovers, the Bucyrus Little Theatre presents Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This dark, thrilling musical will run Friday and Saturday. Don’t miss the chance to see this chilling tale of vengeance and murder brought to life by talented local performers.
The Halloween festivities continue with Adult Trick or Treat at Brownella Cottage on Friday and Saturday, from 7PM, 8PM and 9PM. This unique event allows adults to stroll through the beautifully decorated historic Brownella Cottage while collecting treats. Most of the weekend is sold out, but there is still room for 9PM on Saturday. Tickets are $25 per person.
