Crawford County Common Pleas Court proceedings certainly had people coming and going on Tuesday, mostly going.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jessica Sargent of Crestline admitted to violating terms of her probation from a case earlier this year and was sentenced to seven months in prison. Sargent had failed to report as required, refused to take a drug screen or take part in a court-ordered drug and alcohol treatment program.

Sargent’s sentence is to be served consecutively to any issued as a result of charges in Richland County.

Thirty-seven-year-old Michelle Webb of Bucyrus is also going to prison.

Webb accepted a take-it-or-leave-it offer of 10 months on a drug possession charge. Judge Sean Leuthold cited Webb’s extensive misdemeanor record and said in his opinion she was not a viable candidate for community control. Leuthold encouraged Webb to use her prison sentence to get and remain sober in an effort to get her life on track.

Tabitha Roberts’ intervention status was revoked and she pleaded guilty to two additional charges of drug possession. Because she is considered under state guidelines to be a first offender she was sentenced to five years of community control, but she must spend 90 days in the county jail. Should Roberts not successfully complete community control she could be sentenced to 36 months in prison.

Finally, Mike Stanley waived extradition and is to be transported to Mobile County in Alabama to face youthful offender charges there.
