Helen Doll Price-Frost, 96, of Galion was called home on Saturday, July 6, 2024, with her children by her side.

Helen was born on August 26, 1927, in Blair County, Pennsylvania to the late Wassel and Helen (States) Cramer. On January 1, 1948, she would join hands in marriage with Elmer Price, and they would share 43 years of bliss before Elmer’s passing on October 24, 1991. Helen would later marry Art Frost on February 14, 1998, and he would proceed her in death on October 20, 1999.

Helen radiated kindness and generosity throughout her lifetime. Despite facing various challenges, she epitomized selflessness and compassion, touching the lives of many.

Helen’s faith was never more evident than in the many Sunday mornings she spent in the pews at Community Christian Church in Galion. Her dedication is reflected through Helen’s service as the secretary for the UAW Local 549 and teaching Sunday School for several years. She generously volunteered with TWIGS at The Galion Community Hospital and made a difference by providing Thanksgiving meals yearly on Thanksgiving to those in need. Helen’s creativity could be seen through her passion for sewing and crafting, which she shared generously with her loved ones.

An exceptional cook, Helen’s delicious meals brought warmth and joy to her family and friends. Her talent for gardening produced a breathtaking display of flowers, reflecting the beauty she brought into the world, as well as a pantry full of goods she would can. She found solace in exploring the United States through travel and camping adventures and loved engaging in games and crafting with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Helen’s memories are her children: Gloria (Tom) Shifley of Galion, Calvin (Cookie) Price of Pheonix, Arizona, Marjorie Gosselin of Lilburn, Georgia, Charlotte (Jerry) Teetrick of Mansfield, and Alan (Cathy) Price of Crestline; 11 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, first husband and father of her children, and her second husband, Helen was preceded in death by her siblings: William Cramer, Mary Keiser, Dorothy Conrad, and Elizabeth Sadler.
