MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield Shakespeare Company is excited to announce auditions for its inaugural production of William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” This enchanting production, directed by Scott Leon Smith, promises to captivate audiences with its timeless tale of unrequited love and unexpected metamorphosis.

Audition Details

Auditions will be held on May 20th and 21st from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Founders Auditorium, OSU Mansfield Campus. Parking is available in Lot 2. Performers ages 14 and up are encouraged to audition. Singers, dancers, and musicians are also welcome. Auditioners will perform readings from the script.

Rehearsal Schedule and Show Dates

Rehearsals will commence on Monday, June 3rd, with evening rehearsals scheduled four days per week. Mark your calendars for the enchanting performances on July 13th and 14th set against the picturesque backdrop of Mansfield’s South Park.

This production is non-union and non-compensated. However, it offers a unique opportunity for local talent to showcase their skills and immerse themselves in the world of Shakespeare.
