Ronald Eugene Pritchard, aged 77, of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Fayetteville, NC on November 26, 2023 while under the care of Hospice. He was surrounded by his loving family at his side.
Ronald was born on December 17, 1945 in Bucyrus, Ohio. He devoted over 20 combined years in the United States Army. He was awarded various decorations throughout his career to include a German Marksmanship Badge with a Bronze Star, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with Cross of Gallantry and Meritorious Unit Commendation along with other badges of honor.
Following Ronald’s military service, he worked for the state of Ohio for 13 years, where he medically retired and focused on family and hobbies.
Ronald and his wife Jane were married almost 54 years. They spent a lifetime together moving and traveling all over the world with his military career before he finally retired from the U.S. Army at Ft. Bragg in 1993.
Ronald loved his family first and foremost and his favorite canine companion, Cider. He also enjoyed motorcycles, the Ohio State Buckeyes, banana splits, and country music. Ronald is survived by his loving wife Jane, one devoted son, Christopher, and one cherished grandson, Noah.
A military honors memorial graveside service was held in honor of Ronald on Tuesday, December 12th at Sandhills VA Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.
