NORTH ROBINSON, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Following an 11-1 start to the season, Colonel Crawford volleyball head coach Jaime Valentine is looking to sharpen her team’s mental edge heading into the second half of play.

After dropping their season opener in five sets to Elgin, the Lady Eagles regathered to put together an extended winning streak, including a 5-1 mark in conference competition. Valentine attributed the early success to team chemistry built over the summer, noting that returning veterans have quickly integrated varsity newcomers onto the floor.

As the schedule progresses, Valentine emphasized that navigating high-pressure situations will be critical to the team’s growth. Beyond the standings, she noted that the perseverance developed on the court reflects her broader coaching philosophy of instilling discipline and resilience that student-athletes can carry into their lives after high school.
