The Wynford School District will celebrate academic and athletic achievement this evening at its Junior High Academics/Awards Night.
Guest speaker for the evening will be former Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengals star running back Pete Johnson. The Georgia native played for the Buckeyes through the 1976 season and was drafted in the second round by the Bengals in the 1977 draft.
Some of the special awards and recognition to be given include County Spelling Bee honors, Academic Booster awards, the VFW Essay Contest and the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Awards.
The event begins at 7 p.m.
