BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Get ready for a ghoulishly good time as the Linda Friend Memorial Spooktacular is back this year, and it promises to be a devilishly delightful event for all ages.

When is Spooktacular?

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 3 PM to 6 PM. It’s an afternoon of thrills and chills you won’t want to miss.

Where is Spooktacular?

The festivities will take place at Bucyrus Aumiller Park, with additional parking available at Mennel Milling, complete with a convenient shuttle service. Just look for our bus stop signs for a hassle-free experience.

What can I do at Spooktacular?

There’s a cauldron of activities for everyone to enjoy, including:

  • Bounce Houses
  • Pumpkin Decorating
  • Axe Throwing
  • Putt-Putt Golf
  • Hayrides …and much more! No matter your age, there’s something for everyone.

Rules and Regulations

While we aim to offer a spooktacular experience, we do have a few rules and regulations to ensure a fantastic time for all. Cash donations are welcome for the bike raffle and goody packages, with checks payable to the Community Event Fund. Spooktacular is a gift to the community, and we’re committed to its growth. Please note that there will be no political or commercial propaganda allowed. However, you can display a company banner at your shelter, have your staff wear company shirts, and ask for donations. It’s a fantastic opportunity for business exposure, team building, and community involvement.

About Linda Friend

This event is a heartfelt tribute to Linda Friend, a remarkable individual who had a deep love for children and the Bucyrus community. Linda devoted her efforts to the City of Bucyrus for many years and was known for her active involvement in various community activities, including organizing the first Halloween Spooktacular. Her legacy continues through this event, honoring her dedication and passion for Bucyrus and children everywhere.

Bike Raffle

Don’t forget to try your luck at the bike raffle! We will be raffling off bikes at Spooktacular once again.
