SANDUSKY— It’s that time of the year again as Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends makes its chilling return for its 26th year, promising family fun by day and fright by night. Running on select days and nights from September 14 through October 29, the park offers a spine-tingling experience with a mix of daytime family activities and nighttime haunted mazes, scare zones, and entertainment.

During daylight hours, HalloWeekends caters to families with a range of activities including corn and hay mazes, kid-friendly pint-sized tractors, pumpkin decorating, games, and trick-or-treating. As the sun sets, the park transforms into a realm of fear with haunted mazes, scare zones, and spooky entertainment.

New to this year’s HalloWeekends is the “Midnight Haunted Maze.” Mr. Midnight, the iconic figure of HalloWeekends, invites brave souls to explore the shadowy rooms of his malevolent mind, immersing them in his “Book of the Dark.” This new maze, located near the GateKeeper roller coaster, joins the ranks of four other haunted mazes: Bloodbath, Fearground Freak Show, Slaughter House, and The Haunting of Eerie Estate—all included with park admission.

For those seeking outdoor scares, the “Clownz: Death Metal Tour” offers a nightmarish concert experience on the Gemini Midway. Live music and clown-faced concertgoers roaming the venue guarantee sinister guitar licks, murderous metal music, and blood-curdling screams. This attraction is part of five outdoor fright zones, including CornStalkers 2.0, Tombstone Terror-tory, Cut Throat Cove, and Blood on the Bayou.

Foodies will have the opportunity to savor new delicacies this year with options like smoked wings of fire, maple sausage on a stick with spicy sriracha maple syrup, cheesecake chimichangas with caramel and apple pie toppings, pumpkin pie spiced churros, Nashville chicken and waffles, and the Oktoberfest pizza with mashed redskin potatoes, smoked kielbasa, sauerkraut, and cheddar cheese. HalloWeekends-themed specialty drinks and the popular “blood bag” alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also back.

Entertainment enthusiasts can catch Halloween horror composers Midnight Syndicate on select nights, fresh off their “The Brimstone Club” album’s #2 debut on Billboard’s classical crossover chart. Their show, “Echoes of The Brimstone Club,” combines eerie melodies from their new album with live performers, pyrotechnics, and sinister scares. With over 12 entertainment experiences, including shows like “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown,” “Wake The Dead: A Murder Mystery Musical,” and “The Shrieks,” there’s something for both adults and kids.
