The Wynford School District has been named as one of the recipients of the Auditor of State Award.
The Auditor of State Award is given by the office of Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost annually to public entities that post a clean audit of financial records. Leesa Smith is the district treasurer.
A clean audit report means that financial reports were filed in a timely manner, there were no findings for findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies, Single Audit findings or questioned costs.
In addition the management letter can contain no ethics referrals. Questioned costs of less than $100, lack of timely report submissions, reconciliation, failure to obtain a timely Single Audit, findings for recovery of less than $100, public meetings or public records.
