In the midst of dealing with snow-covered streets over the weekend the city of Bucyrus also had to deal with one of its trucks catching fire.
A spokesperson for the Bucyrus Fire Department confirmed the truck from the Bucyrus Water Department did catch fire around 10 o’clock Saturday evening on the east side of town, but did not know the cause of the fire.
City crews were replacing a fire hydrant in the area when the incident occurred. No one was injured in the fire and there is no information as to the extent of the damage.
The truck was towed to the fire department.
