Ribbons of all colors and sizes as well as the judges who hand them out are all part of the county fair experience. Judging of many entries in the Fine Arts Building took place Friday morning for the 2013 Crawford County Fair which doesn’t begin until Sunday.

While those who submitted quilts for the judges’ keen eyes listened as their works were critiqued, other art entries were being awarded ribbons and photography judge Tami Haught was taking one last look at the pieces she had already handed out awards. Haught, who is a professional photographer, discussed the work she has seen at the fair.

“Very good quality,” Haught said. “Everybody is getting better at doing pictures and digitally manipulating them, so some good stuff.”

Best of Show for photography at the 2013 Crawford County Fair went to Joan Ritzler of Bloomville for her photos in the category of Natural Scenes.
