Volunteers began canvassing the streets of Bucyrus Wednesday afternoon in the search for 15-year-old Rebecca “Beccy” Kemper.

A group of roughly 20 people showed up for the poster rally held in the parking lot of the Field of Dreams at Aumiller Park. Marie Doan, a board member for We Help the Missing, assisted Beccy’s mother and step-father in organizing the event. Doan is from Mansfield and currently is the only member of We Help the Missing in Ohio. We Help the Missing assists in the search for infants, children, teens, adults, and the elderly.

Flyers and t-shirts were handed out to the group and the volunteers spilt up to visit businesses, restaurants, and gas stations. Doan said that if Beccy is not found in 24 hours, they would expand the search to another area.

“I just want her to come home. I miss her,” said Beccy’s mother, Heather Todd, as she fought back tears.
