Mother Nature put on a light show during the second week of high school football action causing a few of the games to be continued tomorrow.

In WQEL92.7’s game of the week, the Buckeye Central Bucks took on Seneca East Tigers in the Battle for the Honey Creek Paddle. Play was suspended with 6:05 to go in regulation with Buckeye Central up 36 to 28.

Grant Loy was leading the Bucks through the air going 10 of 18 for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Leading Buckeye Central’s rushing attack, Cody Roberts ran for 163 yards on 24 carries for 2 scores.

Tyler Trap caught 3 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown to lead Buckeye Central in receiving.

Alex Scheiber led Seneca East in both passing and rushing. Scheiber went 7-14 for 90 yards and a touchdown through the air. On the ground Scheiber carried the ball 19 times for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Brayden Walker led Seneca East in receiving catching the ball 6 times for 149 yards and touchdown.

The game will resume play at noon Saturday.

Crestline football 3The Bucyrus Redmen were leading the Crestline Bulldogs 28-0 with 10 minutes to go in the game before lightning stopped play.

The final score before stoppage came when Cole Murtiff connected on a pass to Austin Williams which put the Redmen up 28-0 with 10:30 to go in the game.

The game will be finished at 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

Colonel Crawford was leading Mohawk 26-8 at the half when their game was suspended. The game will be played out at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The Wynford Royals game against the Ridgedale Rockets played out with the Royals winning 61-0. Below is a video of a touchdown during the game.

Carey defeated Riverdale 61-0. Play was stopped with 9 minutes to go in the game, but will not be finished out.

In other county action the Galion Tigers lost to the Madison Rams 37-7.
