NORTH ROBINSON — The Colonel Crawford Local Schools Board of Education was updated on how graduation ceremonies will take place for 2020 during its meeting Monday evening.
To begin the meeting, Colonel Crawford High School Principal Jake Bruner, on behalf of the staff at Colonel Crawford, recognized superintendent Todd Martin for his leadership and dedication to the district and the students during the current unprecedented times.
Graduation is May 17, as planned, and will begin at 1:30 p.m. The ceremony will occur outside, rain or shine, and will be a drive-through event. There will be a parking area designated for the seniors, who will be assigned a parking spot alphabetically, and they will drive up by the stage when their names are called. Students will get out of the car and walk across the stage to receive their diploma.
Country Legends 1540AM/107.5FM WBCO will broadcast the ceremony so family members who are there in cars, and ones who are not there, are able to listen to the whole ceremony. There will be a designated parking area for any additional cars, and they will not be permitted to enter the parking lot until 1:15 p.m.
Graduation will be filmed by cameras and drones, and seniors will receive a video of the footage made by BS Media Productions with the OH report and Brian Skowronski. The video will include the senior video, pictures, valedictorian, salutatorian, president and school member’s speeches along with athletic and other highlights from the school year.
Things are subject to change, however, depending on any criteria from the Crawford County and Ohio health departments and Governor Mike DeWine.
