GALION―In keeping in compliance with the governor’s stay at home order that includes social distancing of at least six feet, Galion Police investigated a report of two groups playing basketball at Heise Park Thursday evening.
At 6:08 p.m., a report of a large group of people playing basketball dispersed after officers arrived. At 6:24 p.m., a report of another group of kids playing basketball at Heise Park was investigated. The group dispersed and left the area.

12:15 a.m.-A report of loud music was investigated in the 300 block of South Boston Street.
4:36 a.m.-An officer assisted a person experiencing mental health issues and took them to the emergency department at Galion Community Hospital.
10:50 a.m.-A report of a suspicious man inside an abandoned building in the 400 block of South Market Street was investigated. The man was issued a warning for trespassing.
11:51 a.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 600 block of Brookside Drive and the person was fine.
12:49 p..m.-A report of little kids playing in the street in the 700 block of Harding Way East was investigated.
12:51 p.m.-A dispute between neighbors regarding kids playing in the street was investigated in the 600 block of Harding Way East.
3:56 p.m.-A Harding Way East resident reported jewelry and makeup stolen by someone they know.
7:03 p.m.-A disturbance in the 500 block of South Union Street was investigated.
8:22 p.m.-A welfare check on children was conducted in the 500 block of Sherman Street and everything was fine.
