GALION―A report of two suspicious people in the East Church Street area at 2:54 a.m. on Tuesday led to the seizure of drugs by Galion Police officers.
Terry Layne Jr. was arrested on an Ontario Police Department warrant but was released and informed he needs to contact the Ontario Courts on their business line since the courts are closed to the public to handle the warrant. Drug paraphernalia was seized from Layne and pills were seized from a woman who was with him.

1:37 a.m.-Officers assisted a person experiencing mental health issues.
7:04 a.m.-A report of two suspicious vehicles behind Renschville Elementary School was investigated. The people are in the process of moving.
10:03 a.m.-A report of a dispute in the 200 block of South Boston Street was investigated. Dwayne Gore was issued a court date on a warrant and a verbal warning for trespassing.
11:38 a.m.-Officers delivered a notification to a resident in the 600 block of Harding Way East for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
12:43 p.m.-A report of a man trespassing at a residence in the High Street area was investigated.
2:52 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 600 block of South Market Street.
4:22 p.m.-A report of two people trespassing at a residence in the 400 block of South Union Street was investigated.
5:29 p.m.-A person reported their purse stolen from a store in the 800 block of Harding Way East.
9:30 p.m.-A report of two juveniles attempting to get someone to purchase cigarettes for them at Speedway was investigated. Verbal warnings were issued to both of them and they were released to an adult.
