BUCYRUS — Two people were transported to a local hospital after a rollover crash involving a tractor trailer on U.S. 30 early Thursday morning.
According to the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Jacob Skiles and 25-year-old Jana Whittaker, both of Logansport, Indiana, were transported by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service for minor injuries.

At 3:27 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to U.S. 30 west of Ohio 4 to a semi-truck that traveled off the left shoulder of the eastbound lanes, overturned and struck a guardrail.
Westbound traffic was closed on the Bucyrus bypass for approximately four hours while eastbound was closed for approximately five hours and detoured through Bucyrus.
As a result of the crash, the truck’s load of processed pork spilled into the highway’s median. The truck carried the logo of Gangloff Industries based in Logansport.
Also responding to the scene were Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bucyrus Fire Department, Bloomfield Towing, Knecht’s Auto Recycling, Crawford County EMA, the Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation with the state patrol.
