GALION―Galion Police check out a vehicle for the Columbus Police Department Wednesday afternoon that was reportedly involved in an attempted child abduction.
When officers arrived at the residence in the 300 block of South Washington Street, the vehicle’s engine was cold and the residents told officers they had not been to Columbus and had not loaned the vehicle to anyone else. Officers determined the plate number provided by a witness in the Columbus must be incorrect.

1:01 p.m.-Russell Gardner was arrested on a warrant in the 200 block of South Market Street. He was transferred to Mansfield Police officers.
2:49 p.m.-A Crew Avenue resident reported someone opened a PayPal account in their name.
5:30 p.m.-A report of an unruly juvenile was investigated in the 300 block of North Columbus Street.
7:47 p.m.-A report of a runaway juvenile was investigated in the 500 block of North Market Street. The juvenile was located and brought to the station.
11:41 p.m.-A Zanesville resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from a relative in Galion.

3:25 p.m.-Officers assisted an unruly juvenile in the 300 block of Eighth Avenue.
7:16 p.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated at Moto Mart.
8:37 p.m.-A two-vehicle accident was investigated on Walker Street at North Union Street. One vehicle was towed from the scene by Ronk’s Towing Service. No injuries were reported.
9:28 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the 800 block of Harding Way West.
9:49 p.m.-A report of a suspicious vehicle was investigated in the 300 block of Harding Way West. Jason Wade was issued a citation for driving under suspension.
10:42 p.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 600 block of Harding Way East.
11:40 p.m.-A South Columbus Street resident reported their neighbor continues to shine an industrial spotlight on their house.

1:17 a.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel at the VFW, 229 S. Market St., with a person who had fallen and was unconscious.
2:03 a.m.-A possible sex offense was reported in the 200 block of Libby Lane.
3:02 a.m.-Officers assisted Galion Community Hospital personnel with an intoxicated and unruly man.
9:51 a.m.-A non-injury accident was investigated in the Carter Drive area.
10:12 a.m.-A disturbance was investigated in the 600 block of Harding Way East.
11 a.m.-Joshua T. Zarcone was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in the 100 block of Portland Way North.
5:03 p.m.-Scott K. Snyder Jr. was issued a citation for driving under suspension and a warning for possession of marijuana in the 500 block of Galion Arms Court.
5:16 p.m.-A North Columbus Street resident reported a package containing computer parts was stolen off their porch. They had already contacted UPS.
7:34 p.m.-A domestic dispute was involving a man with a gun was investigated I the 100 block of Westgate Road. The man was taken into custody.
11:41 pm.-A report of unruly juveniles in the 300 block of Eighth Avenue was investigated.
