Two young men from Galion got a much-needed second chance in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Thursday morning. Eighteen-year-old Dillon Miller and 23-year-old Tyler Nichols each had their motions granted for entry into the intervention in lieu of conviction program.
Both men pleaded guilty to felony 5 drug possession charges. Miller admitted he was in possession of cocaine when arrested by police in April of this year. Nichols had heroin in March.
Judge Russell Wiseman will hold the pleas of both men who were placed on the intervention program for two years during which time they will be involved in appropriate drug intervention counseling. If they successfully complete the program they will avoid a felony conviction.
