This week turned out to be the week that local law enforcement took a big bite out of crime.

Six people had been arrested this week after search warrants and probation home visits found drugs and drug paraphernalia. Two more people can be added bringing that list of arrests to eight after law enforcement officers conducted a search warrant Thursday morning.

Reid Street search warrant 08-20-15In a scene that has already occurred twice in Galion this week, the Crawford County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 1001 Reid St. in Bucyrus. The search involved the Bucyrus and Galion police departments, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, METRICH Enforcement Unit, the Bucyrus Fire Department, and the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers collected evidence of drug offenses and arrested Crystal Minamyer and William Dean, Jr. Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke said, pending any felony charges, Minamyer and Dean are being held on municipal charges for violating their probation. That investigation continues.
