Drug-related cases consisted of the bulk of the docket Monday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court when one person was sentenced to prison.

Twenty-eight-year-old Adam Young of Bucyrus pleaded guilty to breaking and entering and was sentenced to nine months in prison. He must also pay a $1,250 fine.

Twenty-three-year-old Cody Frazier pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony drug possession charge. Judge Sean Leuthold ordered a pre-sentenced investigation and released Frazier on a personal recognizance bond. Frazier is expected to receive five years on community control, a six-month license suspension, and a $1,250 mandatory drug fine. He must also enter into a drug and alcohol treatment program and forfeit drug-related property to the New Washington Police Department.

Judge Leuthold cited a “series of bad decisions” on the part of Nichelle Ruhe before sentencing her. Ruhe, of Bucyrus, had previously pleaded guilty to felony five drug possession and was sentenced to five years on community control, a $1,250 fine, six months driver’s license suspension and must complete a drug and alcohol treatment program.

Natalie McIntyre pleaded guilty to felony four drug possession and Amy Swalley pleaded guilty to felony five drug possession. Judge Leuthold ordered a pre-sentence investigation for both. In each case the recommended sentence is five years on community control and completion of an alcohol and drug treatment program. McIntyre will also be required to work towards completion of her GED as a condition of probation.

Willis Clary was in court via video from the county jail for two cases. Clary was charged with violating probation stemming from a 2009 case for tampering with evidence and was arraigned on new charges of drug possession. Leuthold appointed Geoff Stoll to represent Clary and set bond at $250,000.

Douglas Caudell Jr.’s court appearance was also via video. Caudell is accused of violating probation from a 2012 case. Among the allegations Caudell is facing is resisting arrest by Mansfield police. Leuthold set bond at $150,000 and appoint Stoll as Caudell’s attorney.
