The battle against illegal drug use in Crawford County continues and went from houses right into the street Thursday evening in Galion.
Detectives from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Galion Police Department SIU jointly conducted a traffic stop on Homer Avenue at Grove Street some time before 9 o’clock in the evening. The driver of the vehicle, 44-year-old Tony Evans of Galion was taken into custody when officers recovered drug paraphernalia. The charge against Evans is possession of heroin which is a fifth-degree felony.
Evans was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center and will be held there pending a court appearance.
