After a flat start the Wynford Royals made adjustments for the weather and their opponent and ran away with a 32-13 victory over Bishop Ready.

Spotting the Silver Knights a 7-0 lead, Wynford tied the game at 7 apiece with 1:44 left in the first, on a 6 yard Nick Looker touchdown run.

Ball control was the main story of the night as Wynford completed 2 drives which lasted 7 minutes, 2 more 5 minute drives, as well as holding on to the rock for the final five minutes of the game. Zach Hoffman led the Royals with 179 yards rushing on 29 attempts with 3 touchdowns.

The Silver Knights’ offense was led on the ground by Devin Dukes. Dukes carried the rock 18 times for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Trailing 8-0 to start the second half the Buckeye Central Bucks made a valiant effort against the Carey Blue Devils but came up short losing 32-26.

After Carey jumped out to a 20-0 lead with 6:12 in the third The Buckeye Central offense gained traction with Grant Loy connecting with Brice Brennemen from 18 and 14 yards out to bring B.C. within 6. Buckeye Central tied the game at 20 with 9:20 to go in the fourth on a 2 yard Athen Moyer run.

Carey regained the lead with 3:45 to go in the game on a 5 yard Jonathan Racheter run. Carey’s lead lasted until Buckeye Central’s ensuing drive when Moyer scored from 3 yards out knotting the game at 26 points.

The game appeared destined for overtime, but with 16 seconds to go in the game Racheter scored from 2 yards out to win the game for the Blue Devils.

Carey was led by Racheter on the ground as he ratcheted up 120 yards on 24 attempts for 3 touchdowns.

Buckeye Central was led through the air by Loy who completed 16 of 31 passes for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brennemen Led B.C.’s receiving corps catching 3 passes for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns. Scott Heydinger added 7 receptions for another 72 yards for B.C.

In MOAC action Galion edged out Marion Harding 24-21.

Drake Barnett led the Tigers on the ground with 155 yards on 30 attempts and 2 touchdowns, Jacob Fryer added 91 yards on the ground over 10 attempts and a touchdown.

In other action around Crawford County Bucyrus was blanked by Upper Sandusky 35-0 at Bucyrus’ homecoming. Amber Harper was named Bucyrus’ 2015 Fall Homecoming Queen. Colonel Crawford Blanked Ridgedale 55-0, and Crestline lost to Danville 68-0.
