Wynford’s Meghan Harrer “beat the clock” Saturday afternoon as her 3 point shot at the buzzer lifted the Lady Royals to a 40-37 win over Oak Harbor. With the win at the division 3 championship game at Seneca East High School, Wynford advances to the division 3 Sweet 16.
With 2.4 seconds left Wynford threw a court length pass that was then passed to Harrer who hit the game winner from midway between the three point arc and the center court line.
Wynford’s Brenna Quinn led all scorers with 22 points with Harrer adding 12. Oak Harbor finishes the season with a record of 20-5 and were led in scoring by Andrea Cecil with 17 points and Athena Eli with 12.
