The Wynford Royals scored 15 of their 17 points in the fourth period from the free throw line and made 11 three pointers in the game last night as they defeated Buckeye Central 73-66. The Royals led by 15 points starting the final period but were outscored by the Bucks 25-15 who twice closed to within 3 points but held on for their 10th win of the season with 8 losses and improve to 9-6 in the N-10. Buckeye Central is 12-7 overall and 10-5 in the league.
Wynford’s Hunter Miller had 5 three pointers on his way to a game high 23 points, Alex Crall added 16 and Braxton Tea 14 for the Royals. In his first game back from injury, Buckeye Central’s Grant Loy had 19 points, Scott Heydinger 17 and Seth Ollis 10.
Wynford won the JV game 41-35. Jack Reed led Wynford with 15 and Jacob Shade had 12 for Buckeye Central.
