UPPER SANDUSKY — The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame will hold its induction of the Class of 2025 on Saturday night, April 19.

The ceremony honoring the members of the 13th class will be held at the Masters Building of the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m.

This year’s class includes the following:

Ben Stockmaster A 1965 Mohawk High School graduate, Stockmaster was the first Wyandot County native to qualify for the state wrestling tournament and received an offer to try out for the San Diego Chargers.

Clare Aubrey A 2008 Upper Sandusky High School graduate, Aubrey excelled at basketball with the Rams and then at the University of Toledo and the University of Findlay. She has since become a college and professional basketball referee.

Danielle (Jacoby) Butram A 2007 graduate of Carey High School, Butram earned 11 letters in three sports, excelling in track and field. She was a 10-time all-Ohioan on the track with three state championships in three different events. She went on to earn four letters at the University of Toledo.

Travis Moyer A 1995 graduate of Crestline High School, Moyer got his start as a head football coach at Wynford High School, developing the Royals into one of the top football programs in Ohio during his tenure. His coaching success has continued at Wapakoneta High School as he has amassed more than 200 wins in his career.

Gary Egner As a 1977 graduate of Riverdale High School, Egner earned four letters in track and field and three in basketball, earning all-conference in basketball while also performing at a high level on the track. He played basketball in college and then had a brief basketball coaching career.

Gaylord “Pete” Stinchcomb Stinchcomb was born in Sycamore, where he attended grade school. As he was nearing his high school years, he started attending Fostoria schools because they had a football program. He rode the train from Sycamore every day to attend school and play football before his family moved to Fostoria. He was an all-Ohio halfback while playing for the undefeated Fostoria team. He then played at Ohio State for three years.

2004-05 Upper Sandusky basketball This Upper Sandusky boys’ basketball team went 27-0 en route to the Division II state championship.

Expectations were high when Keith Diebler was hired as coach and brought with him his sons, Jake and Jon. The team lived up to the expectations, starting by winning the school’s first boys’ basketball Northern Ohio League championship since 1964.
