Week seven under Friday night’s lights in the NCC can be described with one word: upsets. The two undefeated teams in the league each lost by one point in overtime creating a four-way tie for first in the league.

The Wynford Royals upset the unblemished Galion Tigers 14-13.

Keaton Teynor led the Royals offensive attack leading both passing and rushing, throwing 5 of 9 for 75 yards, and rushing the ball 17 times for 68 yards and a score. Mason Davis led Royals receivers snagging 3 receptions for 45 yards.

Galion quarterback Dareian Watkins led the Tigers in passing as well as rushing. Watkins completed 6 passes of 14 attempts for 95 yards and a touchdown while racking up 72 yards on the ground on 18 tries with a score.

The Bucyrus Redmen upset the Upper Sandusky Rams 37-36 in overtime.

Cole Murtiff led the Redmen through the air going 24 of 36 for 380 yards and 3 touchdowns. Tyler Zehring led Redmen receivers catching 7 receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Williams caught 5 receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown. Austin Williams led the Redmen’s ground game with 1 rush for 32 yards and a touchdown.

With the homecoming crowd and court looking on, the Buckeye Central Bucks blanked the Crestline Bulldogs 54-0.

Buckeye had two 100 yards rushers in the game with Cody Roberts amassing 129 yards on 8 attempts for 3 touchdowns. Alec Baldozer carried the rock 24 times for 126 yards and 1 score. Quarterback Cameron Jones led the Bucks in passing going 4 of 7 for 50 yards and a touchdown. Cole Stacklin led the Bucks receiving core with 1 reception for 20 yards that crossed pay dirt.

Crestline quarterback Lee Hurst led the Bulldogs offensive unit in passing and rushing completing 8 passes on 23 attempts for 63 yards along with picking up 17 yards on the ground on 8 attempts. Deke Diglin caught 4 passes for 40 yards to lead Bulldogs receivers.

The Colonel Crawford Eagles crushed the Riverdale Rockets 59-14.

Dalton Scott led Colonel Crawford on the ground with 151 yards on 8 attempts with a 60 yard touchdown run. Nate Klingenberger led the Eagles air attack completing 8 of 16 passes for 148 yards with 1 touchdown. Marcus Garverick led the Eagles receiving corps with two receptions for 51 yards. Eagles kick returner Owen Adams unleashed a 94 yard kick return for a score during the game.
