Runs were hard to come by Wednesday night when the Galion baseball team traveled to Pleasant for an MOAC game. The Spartans made their two sixth inning tallies stand up in a 2-1 win over the Tigers.
Galion managed just four hits and committed two errors in the loss. Spears went the distance for the Tigers and was charged with the loss. He struck out six and walked three.
Donahue drove in the Tigers’ only run in the sixth inning and had a stolen base as well. Talbott, Kuns and Spears also hit safely for Galion with the Spears hit being a double.
Galion is now 1-2 in MOAC action and 2-3 overall. Pleasant in 1-1 in the league and 2-2 overall.
