Baseball and softball players are invited to sign up for a throwing clinic sponsored by OhioHealth MedCentral Sports Medicine and Athletic Training staff. It will run Tuesdays and Thursdays between June 17 and July 10 from 9-11 a.m.
The clinic aims to build strength in athletes, as well as teaching them to throw longer, harder and faster. The clinic includes an individual throwing analysis.
All athletes from middle school to more advanced high school ballplayers are encouraged to attend. Pitchers who have experienced pain or soreness in their shoulders or elbows while throwing could benefit from this clinic along with those who would like to increase their arm strength and speed.
The cost of the clinic is $80 for OhioHealth MedCentral affiliates and $95 for non-affiliates. For more information, visit www.medcentral.org or stop by the Fitness Center, 1750 West Fourth St., Ontario, or call 419-526-8900.
