BUCYRUS — Morgan Swavel came through the 55th Bucyrus Ladies Invitational bowling tournament unscathed.
Swavel was the winners’ bracket champion. She then defeated losers’ bracket champion Robin Pangallo in their four-game finals match, 997-961, with handicap, at Suburban Lanes on Saturday.
After knocking on the door for the past two years, the win was Swavel’s first Ladies Invitational title in her eighth tournament appearance. She was runner-up in 2020 and third in 2021.
Pangallo was bowling in her ninth Ladies Invitational. She was the 2018 champion and finished fourth in 2020. Pangallo had to fight her way out of the losers’ bracket, bowling every day from Saturday through Wednesday to get to the final.
