St. Peter’s won the Sam Sabback Invite this past weekend after a tie-break decision.
Six teams competed in the 4th annual Sam Sabback Invite at the Bucyrus Community Courts. St. Peter’s and Upper Sandusky tied for first place with team scores of 14 but the nod was given to St. Peter’s, who came out of the invite with the most first place finishers.
Marion Harding finished the day with a score of 10 while local teams Bucyrus and Galion ended with 7 and 3, respectively. Clear Fork rounded out the team scores with two.
Results from the championship round are as follows:

2nd Gracie Cornell (St. Peter’s) defeated Kayla Gault (Upper Sandusky) 8-5
3rd Hannah Novack (St. Peter’s) defeated Paige Burger (Upper Sandusky) 8-6
1st Hawkins/Mollenkopf (Bucyrus) defeated Street/Randolph (Marion Harding) 8-3
2nd English/VorHees (Upper Sandusky) defeated Russell/Pitts (Marion Harding) 8-5
