BUCYRUS — Seneca East breezed to victory in the 12-team Bucyrus Elks Invitational golf tournament at the Bucyrus Golf Club Monday.
The Tigers’ team score of 336 was 29 strokes better than second-place Bucyrus’ 365. Buckeye Central also shot 365 but the Redmen took second with the tie breaker on the fifth man’s scorecard.
Seneca East’s Jake Forehand was tournament medalist with a 72. Upper Sandusky’s Owen Knapp was next with 83.
Gavin O’Connell carded an 84 to lead Bucyrus. Trenton Hardy was next with 87, Grady Jackson finished with 94, Karson Kimmel shot an even 100 and Kael Scott’s fifth score of 101 broke the tie with Buckeye Central.
Alex Kanney shot 87 for the Bucks, followed by Logan Niese with 91, Tyler Rose at 92 and Kaiden Vaughn finished with 95.
