The quickly improving Lady Royals softball team swept a non-conference twin bill on Saturday against Mansfield Christian by the scores of 11-1 and 12-1. Hannah Messmer picked up both victories in the pitching circle for Wynford and now has six wins as a freshman.
Elsewhere in softball action Saturday Ridgedale bombed Fisher Catholic 12-2, but lost to Whitehall-Yearling, 13-10. Seneca East edged Bucyrus 2-0.
On the baseball diamond Seneca East defeated Bucyrus 8-0, while Wynford split with Pleasant – losing by the score of 7-1 and picking up a 7-2 win in the second game. Fairfield Christian defeated Ridgedale, 11-1.
On Friday, the Galion Tigers had their winning streak snapped in a 7-2 loss to Pleasant.
