Despite a late push by the Buckeye Central Bucks, the Wynford Royals escaped with a victory on the baseball diamond Monday night.

Down 6-0 in the bottom of the 7th the Bucks scored three runs to bring the score to 6-3 before falling to the Royals.

Caleb Stone went the distance for the Royals giving up three runs on four hits, and recording five strikeouts on the way to picking up the victory. Stone also went 2-3 batting and scoring a run.

Wyatt Smith went 2-2 with a home run, RBI, and two runs for the Royals.

Payton Phenicie pitched 5.2 innings for Buckeye Central giving up four runs on five hits, while registering four strikeouts.

Kyle Sanderson went 3-3 batting for the Bucks scoring a run.

The Madison Rams and Galion Tigers needed a few extra innings to finish their game in the end it was the Rams edging the Tigers 2-1.
