Scoring 11 runs on 11 hits, the Wynford Royals defeated the Buckeye Central Bucks on the baseball diamond Wednesday.

Pitcher Noah Smith pitched a complete game for the Royals, picking up the win while allowing two runs on seven hits and fanning eight Bucks batters for strikeouts.  Smith was equally as frustrating for the Bucks’ defense as he was for their offense. He went 2 for 3 with three runs scored.

Josh Crall continued the Royals’ surge hitting 3 for 4 with three RBI’s and two runs.

Jalon Brown scored three RBI’s for the Royals while going 1 for 1 in the batter’s box. Brown also scored a run on a sacrifice.

Caleb Stone also went 1 for 1 with a two RBI performance for the Royals.

On the softball side the Lady Royals upended the Buckettes 13-9. The Buckettes jumped out to a 8-3 lead after three innings, however the Lady Royals offense outscored the Buckettes 10-1 the rest of way.

Jenna Coffman took charge with the Lady Royals’ bats as she scored six RBI’s while going 4 for 4 with three of those hits being doubles
