The Wynford Royals made it eight wins in a row Friday with a 35-0 whitewash over Buckeye Central. The win not only sets up a showdown with Bucyrus in the regular season finale, but guaranteed the Royals no worse than a share of the inaugural N-10 championship.
Wynford is now a perfect 7-0 in N-10 action and 8-1 overall. The Bucks dropped to 3-4 against league opponents and 4-5 overall.
The Royals scored early and often with touchdowns on their first three drives to take a 21-0 lead seconds into the second period. Nic Looker on a 7-yard run, Takoda Wilburn on a 33-yard pass reception from Keaton Teynor and Teynor’s 2-yard plunge accounted for the first half scoring.

Teynor added a 7-yard run and Hayden Rhoades a 13-yard gallop to complete the scoring, both in the third quarter. Jalon Brown was a perfect five-for-five on the extra points.
Teynor led the Royals in rushing with 128 yards and threw for another 113 yards. Tony Watson’s lone catch was good for 37 yards. The Royals racked up 364 yards on the ground and 477 total.
It was the third shutout this season and second straight for the Royals’ defense who picked off three passes. Wynford limited the Bucks to just 31 yards rushing.
Grant Loy threw for 193 yards and led the Bucks in rushing with 13 yards. Cole Stacklin had 77 yards on three catches.
In other action around the county and N-10 Bucyrus defeated Ridgedale 36-0. Below is a video of Bucyrus’ Cole Murtiff running in for a touchdown.
Colonel Crawford defeated Fostoria Saint Wendelin 70-12, Mohawk defeated Crestline 49-20, Carey beat Seneca East 55-24, and in MOAC action Galion upset North Union 50-33.
