Avenging their loss at home earlier in the season to Colonel Crawford, Wynford went into the Eagles Nest and returned the favor winning by a score of 71-50.

Wynford vs CC 19Ending the half with a buzzer beater that extended the lead to 34-26 the Royals emerged from the locker room in the third quarter and proceeded to go on an 11-0 run. After outscoring the Eagles 19-8 in the third the Royals entered the third with a comfortable 53-34 lead.

Wynford featured four players scoring in double digits for the game. Jack Reed led the way with 16 points, James Ort added 15 points, Alex Crall contributed 13 points, and Braxton Tea had 12 points.

Colonel Crawford’s Owen Adams led all scorers in the game with 20 points. Harley Shaum added 13 points to the Eagles cause.

With the win Wynford improves to an 8-6 overall record with a 6-4 record in the N10. Crawford drops to a 10-5 overall record and 7-3 in league play.

Buckeye Central overcame a rocky start against Crestline Friday night to emerge victorious 66-38.

Crestline vs BC 22Crestline surprised Buckeye Central taking a 12-10 lead in the first. The Bucks came back in the second quarter outscoring the Bulldogs 15-7 to take a 25-19 lead going into the half. The Bucks took flight in the third scoring 24 points for a 49-28 lead going into the fourth.

Buckeye Central’s Jacob Shade led all scorers in the game amassing 24 points in 24 minutes of play. Grant Loy contributed a double-double to the Bucks scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Zach Gregory led Crestline scorers with 14 points in the game. Ty Clark snagged 11 boards for Crestline.

In other action around the county Bucyrus lost to Seneca East 65-49 and Galion was defeated by Buckeye Valley 65-57.
