ATTICA (Crawford County Now) — Seneca East sophomore Aubrey Ritzler won the Division 3 girls 5000-meter run at the 6th annual Seneca East Stars, Stripes & Lights here Saturday night.

Ritzler crossed the line in 19:08.81, with Mohawk freshman Laila Nally taking second in 19:29.65.

Colonel Crawford freshman Avary Stirm placed sixth in a time of 20:53.67.

Mount Gilead’s Gwen Hershner was 9th and teammate Sophie Mosher 10th. The Lady Indians won the team title with Carey second, Seneca East third and CC fifth.

Wynford girls took eighth place.

On the boys side, Ridgedale junior Elliot Weston took second in 16:06.21. Henry Bartett of Mount Gilead got fourth in 16:34.78 and Mohawk’s Kolton Wood 11that 17:00.46.

Junior Isaac Stirm of Colonel Crawford came in 13th in 17:03.67.

Mount Gilead also won the boys side, with Seneca East fourth, Colonel Crawford seventh and Carey 10th.

Junior Francisco Lantz of SE got 22nd in 17:26.39.

Galion and Bucyrus competed in D-2. The top Tiger finisher was sophomore Niky Weiss 148th in 21:49.31.

Anderson (AJ) Griffin was the top Redmen runner, placing 32nd in 18:03.99.

There are three divisions for the meet and schools are divided up based on enrollment into the Stars (Larger Schools), Stripes (Medium Schools), and Lights (Small Schools).
