LOCK HAVEN, Pa. Behind a trio of quality starts, California State sophomore and Bucyrus alumnus Caleigh Rister was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Rister posted a 0.71 ERA over three starts last week while at the PFX Spring Games in Florida. She allowed only two earned runs over 19.2 innings pitched while facing a pair of nationally ranked teams. Rister allowed one run (earned) and scattered six hits over 7.0 innings on Thursday in a 1-0 loss to defending-National Champion and No. 1 Rogers State (Okla.).

The Ohio native returned to the circle the following day to earn a complete-game victory against Sioux Falls (S.D.), yielding three runs (one earned) on 10 hits over 7.0 innings in a 6-3 win. Rister then allowed four runs (all unearned) in 5.2 innings on Sunday in a 4-1 loss to No. 18 Washburn (Kan.), which fell in the 2022 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) Championship to Rogers State.

The 2022 PSAC West Pitcher of the Year, Rister boasts a 0.47 ERA and a 3-2 record with one save over six appearances this spring. She has surrendered a total of two earned runs in 30.0 innings pitched with three complete games while posting a 3.0 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Rister was chosen the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week once last February, plus was tabbed the PSAC West Athlete of the Week three times.
