The Graders were back on the diamond on Monday as they welcomed the Lima Locos to Heise Park. After a brief 1-0 lead by the Graders going into the third inning, the Locos rebounded and showed why they’re the top team in GLSCL North Division with an 11-2 win.

After tying the game at 1-1 in the top of the third, the Locos would score three in the 4th inning courtesy of a Jarod Nixon three-run home run and another four runs in the 6th from a Ross Adolf solo homer and some costly Grader errors.

Conner Curlis worked a complete game for the Locos only allowing seven Grader hits and striking out seven. He picked up the win on the mound and lowered his ERA to .89. Jonathan Murphy took the loss for Galion after working five innings and allowing six runs on eight hits. Tyler Cowles had two hits for the Graders while Evan Lee added a hit and a run scored.

The Graders play again tomorrow as they travel to Licking County to take on the Settlers. The first pitch is at 7:05 from Don Edwards Stadium.
