ROSSFORD — No local bowlers advanced to the state meet out of the Division II district meet at Interstate Lanes.

Brody Higginbotham of Bucyrus was the highest boys’ finisher at 25th. Higginbotham rolled a three-game series of 603. Cody Pennington tied for 35th with a 576 series and Tyson McDaniel was 48th with 540.

Blake Cooper led Wynford with a 531 series which tied for 51st. Dawson Lykens tied for 56th with a 520. Colonel Crawford freshman Luke Shields was 72nd with 489.

Jacob Sexton of Liberty Center was the top individual with a sparkling 716 series. Coldwater was the top team with an aggregate 4380, including six Baker games. Ottawa-Glandorf (4127) and Liberty Center (4094) also advanced as teams, along with individual qualifiers from Kenton, Minster, and Milan Edison.

Bucyrus (3747) was ninth and Wynford (3586) was 13th.

Samantha Dornbirer of Wynford was the highest finishing girl from the area, Dornbirer rolled a 480 series, good for 36th. Teammates Addison Sebring (446) and Kendall Naufzinger (441) were 49th and 50th respectively.

Galion’s Tayla Dillard and Madison Enders of Seneca East tied for 55th with a 431 and Rylee Powers of Bucyrus tied for 57th with a 430.

Carlee Hohenbrink of Napoleon was the top individual with a 683. Napoleon had the best team aggregate of 4153. Fort Recovery (3567) and St. Mary’s Memorial (3456) were the other teams to qualify for state. Sandusky Perkins (2) and New Bremen added individual qualifiers.
