The Wynford Lady Royals came back twice from 13-point deficits to defeat Bucyrus, 42-38, in the final N-10 game of the season for both teams last night.

Bucyrus scored the first 13 points of the game and led by seven after the first period following a Wynford 6-0 run. The Lady Redmen again built a 13-point lead in the second period before Wynford came back to trail by six at halftime.

Wynford got its first lead of the game in the third period, but Bucyrus scored the last six of the period to lead by five going into the final quarter.

Wynford’s Ellie Richmond’s 4th period 3-pointer gave the Lady Royals the lead for good as Wynford upped their record to 13-8 overall and 12-6 in the league. Bucyrus is 11-11 on the year and finishes league play at 9-9.

For Wynford, Sarah Ogden led all scorers with 13 points and Richmond added 11. Bucyrus had no players in double figures with Megan Flaherty and Torie Tanner each having eight.

Bucyrus won the JV game 38-31. Alex Rule had 12 for Bucyrus and Tara Zinser had 10 for Wynford.
