Ladies Invitational field reduced to eight

BUCYRUS — The field in the Bucyrus Ladies Invitational was reduced to eight Tuesday evening.

Four more bowlers were eliminated in four losers’ bracket matches at Suburban Lanes.

Charlie Britt edged Michelle Stahl, 941-902, to drop Stahl from the tournament.

In the second match, Shelby Gabel toppled Tricia Breighner, 891-794, eliminating Breighner.

Emily Groves stopped Lisa Penwell in the third match, 1017-838, to take Penwell out of the field.

In Match 4, Robin Pangallo got by Terry Bonham, 888-857, to bump Bonham from the tournament.

The remaining eight will bowl again on Saturday. In the winners’ bracket, Heather McLaughlin takes on Morgan Swavel and Shelly Yancy goes against Tacsha Ridgeway.

In the losers’ bracket, Groves faces Britt and Gabel meets up with Pangallo.

Bowling begins at 1 p.m. back at Suburban Lanes. The finals are set for Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m.
