Jim Grandy Invitational set for Saturday

Bucyrus — The annual Jim Grandy Tennis Invitational will be held Saturday on the Bucyrus Community Courts on the campus of Bucyrus High School.

This year’s participants are Upper Sandusky, River Valley, Ontario, Shelby, Galion, Clear Fork, and Bucyrus.

MATCH INFORMATION

Below is the timetable for warm-ups and meetings.

1) 8:30 a.m.     Courts open for warm-ups. Tennis balls will be provided.

2) 9:20 a.m.     Head Coaches meeting at scorer’s tent.

3) 9:35 a.m.     Courts cleared.

4) 9:40 a.m.     Players’ meeting and first match introductions.

5) 9:50 a.m.     First match warm-ups

6) 10 a.m.         Jim Grandy Invitational begins.

AWARDS

1)  The first 3 places in singles and doubles all get medals.

2)  There is a team trophy for the school with the most points. The tie breaker for the team trophy is the highest finisher in first singles.
