The 49th Annual Bucyrus Ladies Invitational came down to one pin on the final ball in the final frame. When that pin fell, it gave Patricia Horsley a perfect mark in the 2017 tournament and the title.

In a repeat of last year’s championship match-up, Horsley paired up against defending champion Tacsha Ridgeway. Ridgeway, coming out of the losers’ bracket this year, needed to win Saturday’s three-game set at Suburban Lanes to force a winner-take-all fourth game.

Ridgeway led by 39 pins after the first game, however, Horsley got all but six of those pins back in the second. Coming down to the 10th frame of game three, Horsley needed a mark and eight pins to win the title. She rolled a strike with her first ball and claimed seven pins with her second to knot the score.

Facing 4-7-10 split, Horsley picked up the final pin for a 760-759 victory.

Horsley is a veteran of Championship Saturday at the Invitational. She won the title in 2013 and finished as runner-up in 2012 and 2016.

Lisa Penwell finished third in the tournament and rookie Lori Angel was fourth.
