BUCYRUS — The 56th Bucyrus Ladies Invitational produced a first-time champion and a first-time runner-up.
Emily Groves bowled her way out of the losers’ bracket to the finals. Groves faced Charlie Britt out of the winners’ bracket. Both were making their first finals appearance.
Groves was able to hold off Britt, 946-905, to win the four-game finals series, forcing a one-game roll-off. Groves then won the extra game, 257-212, to win the championship.
