The Bucyrus Lady Redmen improved to 9-6 on the season and 7-6 in the N-10 with a 60 – 52 win over Colonel Crawford last night.
The Lady Redmen trailed only once in the game and after tying the contest at 8 in the first period scored 9 of the next 12 points to pick up the win and split their season series with the Lady Eagles.
Bucyrus scoring was led by Kelci Simms with 27 points. Alexus Burkhart led Colonel Crawford with 23 points and teammate Cassie Sager added 14.
Colonel Crawford won the JV game 43-9. Colonel Crawford’s Abby Teglovic led all scorers with 13 points. Alex Rule had 5 to lead Bucyrus.
The Wynford Lady Royals defeated the Mohawk Lady Warriors 50-20. Wynford went on a scoring run in the first period, tallying up 19 points while Mohawk failed to net one basket. The Lady Royals dominance continued throughout the game as they made seven out of 10 three-pointers and went seven for 11 at the free throw line.
Alyssa Harrer and Ellie Richmond led the Lady Royals with 16 and 11, respectively. Scoring for the Lady Warriors was led by Chelsey Clinger and Megan Cleveland, who each posted six points.
Wynford improved to 9-7 (8-5 N10).
In other Tuesday night girls basketball action Crestline fell to Carey 79-17 and Buckeye Central defeated Ridgedale 56-41. Meanwhile, the Mount Gilead defeated the Wynford boys basketball team 75-58.
