Galion (Crawford County Now) — Galion’s Kortnie Ganshorn signed her letter of intent on Thursday to continue her athletic and academic career at Wittenberg University.

Known for her exceptional performance on the field and in the classroom, Ganshorn’s dedication to both her sport and academics has made her ready for the collegiate experience.

Throughout her career, Ganshorn has displayed an unwavering commitment to excellence, putting in countless hours of work both during and off-season. Her dedication has earned her the opportunity to take her talent to the next level.

Having played softball for 14 years, Ganshorn is eager to continue playing the sport she loves at Wittenberg. Along with her athletic achievements, she plans to major in nursing.

Wittenberg is a Division III institution that participates in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Ganshorn will get to continue to be a Tiger, going from Galion Tigers to Wittenberg Tigers.

“I chose (Wittenberg) because I loved the campus and how welcoming every player on the team was. The coaches made it seem like I was already a part of the team the first day I met them.”

As Ganshorn prepares for her final high school softball season, Coach Calli Bauer and her staff as well as Ganshorn’s teammates are confident that she will continue to excel both on the field and in the classroom.
